Computer-based and electronic sensing technologies are opening new opportunities in insect ecology and management. This paper describes some existing and forthcoming technologies for collecting data (3D digitising, scanning), interpreting information (scientific visualisation, virtual reality [VR]) and managing pests (Precision Pest Management [PPM]).
