Higher education reforms in Finland in the domain of financing of higher education institutions

Finnish system of education is widely discussed and often used as role model of a modern educational system that is adjusted to the needs of the society and national economy. This analysis covers current issues pertaining to the functioning of Finnish higher education institutions and to their finances. It attempts to point at mechanisms and institutions that are responsible for the functioning of the higher education system, by paying attention to the professional, administrative and legal issues.
