Editorial Drawing on text Drawing Research Theory and Practice 3.1

This guest edited issue explores the relationship between writing and drawing. Topics and themes are: visual text, illustration, marginalia, illustrated letters, drawing with writing, poetry with drawing, image-based languages and pictographs. The issue contains scholarly contributions investigating a range of cultural perspectives with historical and/ or contemporary emphasis and creative visual and textual submissions of hybrid practices of drawing on text.
