Democratic Educantion and Public Policies to Promote the Freedom of Belif in the Curriculum School of Religious Education in Minas Gerais

This article aims to analyze public policies with regard to religious instruction, making it a subject of study that focuses on Brazilian cultural-religious diversity. Using the deductive hypothetical method shall be made to review the curriculum Basic Common Basic Education of the State of Minas Gerais in relation to democratic teaching of religious education through agonistic democracy theory Chantal Mouffe. To support democratic education idea also be used other theoretical frameworks: Theodor Adorno when dealing with emancipatory and John Dewey education about the importance of environment where education is developed
