Transformer design is an important feature to achieve lower cost, lower weight reduced size and better operating performance. In this paper an attempt has been made to examine for various design aspects using Genetic Algorithm (GA) and Artificial Neural Network (ANN) for different objective functions. It has been found that the optimization of design for a transformer becomes very simple with the application of artificial intelligent techniques. © International Science Pres
