Impaired SE-induced cytokine production from primary TLR2−/− murine peritoneal macrophages.

<p>Primary murine peritoneal macrophages (pmacs) from WT and TLR2-deficient C57BL/6 mice were stimulated with SE for 4 h. (A) Selectively impaired bacterial lipopeptide FSL-1-induced cytokine response in TLR2-deficient pmacs, with normal responses to LPS (TLR4). (B) TLR2-deficient pmacs demonstrated markedly impaired TNF production to low concentrations (10⁴–10⁶ bacteria/ml) of SE (n = 3–9). * p<0.05.
