<p>Plasmid in the cleared lysate was bound to glass syringe filters. The filters were washed with 20 ml of wash buffer and the bound plasmid was eluted with 20 ml of TE (pH 8.0). The eluent was mixed with 3 ml of sodium acetate (pH 5.1) and 23 ml of ice-cold isopropyl alcohol. The mixture was filtered through a glass filter, the filter washed with 20 ml of 70% ethanol, dried with air and bound DNA eluted with 1 ml of TE (pH 8.0).</p
