Mandibular para-radicular third molar radiolucencies (MPRs) were first described in 2004 by Bohay et al (Bohay RN, Mara TW, Sawula KW, Lapointe HJ. A preliminary radiographic study of mandibular para-radicular third molar radiolucencies.
