Growth characteristics of wild-type <i>N. meningitidis</i> MC58 bacteria and mutant bacteria.

<p>(A) <i>N. meningitidis</i> strains MC58, MC58-278, MC58-1220, and MC58-278-1220 bacteria were grown in Muller-Hinton broth supplemented with 0.25% (w/v) glucose. Growth was followed over an 8-h period and the OD₆₂₀ was measured throughout. (B) Outer membranes were prepared from the parental strain and mutants following growth on BHI plates overnight, and separated by T-SDS-PAGE.
