<p>A) TUEF cohort: The ratio of the area under the curve (AUC) of C-Peptide values (AUC<sub>CP</sub>) to AUC glucose (AUC<sub>Glc</sub>) in the OGTT was adjusted for age, gender and insulin sensitivity (Matsuda). B) EUGENE2 cohort: the ratio of AUC insulin (AUC<sub>Ins</sub>) to AUC glucose (AUC<sub>Glc</sub>) was adjusted for centre, familial relationship, age, gender and insulin sensitivity. Only individuals with a BMI<25 kg/m<sup>2</sup> were included for both analysis. Data are presented as means±SEM. p-values are shown for both the additive and dominant model.</p
