<p>Figure 6a illustrates the tuning functions from the right VLPFC in the first acquisition block, when the task was novel, and the third acquisition block, where the task was most familiar. The peak of the tuning function shifted from morph 1 towards the target as the task and stimuli became more familiar. Error bars display the standard error of the mean. Figure 6b shows the average peak position of the tuning function in acquisition blocks 1 and 3 in the right lateral frontal cortex. The peak of the tuning function can be seen to shift from morph 1 in acquisition block 1 towards the target in acquisition block 3 across a large swathe of the right lateral frontal cortex.</p
