The number of experiments performed for each experimental group and each combination of competitors can be found in <a href="http://www.plosgenetics.org/article/info:doi/10.1371/journal.pgen.0020103#pgen-0020103-t001" target="_blank">Table 1</a>. Error bars indicate the standard deviation of 100 bootstrap values obtained by resampling experiments (and the corresponding coefficient of variation).</p
