GSK-3β inhibitor enhances glucose deprivation-induced IL-6 gene expression.

<p>Real-time RT-PCR of IL-6 (A) was carried out with RNA extracted from BV2 microglia incubated in a normoxic condition with or without GSK-3 inhibitor CHIR99021. (B) Whole cell lysates from cells incubated in a normoxic condition were separated on SDS-polyacrylamide gels and analyzed with antibodies against β-tubulin, IκB, P-p38, p38, P-JNK, or JNK. (C) Quantitation of protein levels of IκB, P-p38, and P-JNK was carried out as described in <a href="http://www.plosone.org/article/info:doi/10.1371/journal.pone.0058662#pone-0058662-g004" target="_blank">Fig. 4C</a>.
