ANALYSIS OF CRYSTAL STRUCTURE AND MAGNETORESISTANCE PROPERTIES ON THE SINGLE PHASE OF LiMn2O4 BY MECHANICAL MILLING PRODUCTAS ALi-ION BATTERY CATHODE. Synthesis and characterization of single phase on LiMn2O4 spinel structure have been performed. Synthesis of the LiMn2O4 material use solid state method from raw materials of Li2O and MnO2 . This mixture is milled during 6 hour and sintered at 400o for 20 hours. The result of x ray diffraction measurement showed that the material is a single phase LiMn2O4 with a cubic crystal structure, the space group is Fd-3m(I-227) and lattice parameters of a = b = c = 8.173(4) Å, α = β = γ = 90o, volume unit sel V = 546.0(9) Å3 and atomic density ρ = 4.246 g.cm-3.
