<p>The British rule to India was the introduction of English education which<br>enhanced the condition of the Indian Society especially the Depressed classes of India<br>which were by Constitution classified as Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes. These<br>classes are variously called the depressed, oppressed, untouchables, low castes, Adidravidas, Harijans, Scheduled castes and so on. They were denied opportunities to<br>receive educational by the social system that existed for well over a thousand years in<br>India. These people are those who are socially, economically, educationally and<br>politically backward and the exploited section of the society</p> <p> </p
