Loss of HDAC1/2 leads to H3K4me1-3 demethylation and up-regulation of KDM5B.

<p>(A) Immunocytochemical detection of H3K4me1, H3K4me2 and H3K4me3 in oocytes obtained from mice 12-days-of-age and lacking different combinations of <i>Hdac1</i> and <i>Hdac2</i>. For each histone variant, at least 20 oocytes for each genotype were analyzed, and the experiment was conducted 3 times. Shown are representative images and only the nucleus is shown.
