PYTHAGORAS AND MUSIC

<p>Music is a boon to mankind many scholars, gramarian contributed to enrich Music<br>Theory. Pythagoras, the famous physician, mathematician, philosophers, musicologist<br>and musician respectively, supported the application of a kind of music which was<br>structured according to the laws of harmony of microcosm of music and was to have a<br>beneficial effect on the life of the individual in health as well as in harmony with nature.<br>This paper looks at the importance of Pythagorean Scale in Indian Music and<br>Pythagoras's thought about music.</p> <p>
