Hypoxia-induced VEGFA mRNA expression is decreased by MR activation in HCT116 cells.

<p>Real-time PCR analysis of VEGFA mRNA induction in (A) pchMR-transfected HCT116 cells treated with 3 nM aldosterone in the presence or in the absence of 1 µM spironolactone and exposed to CoCl₂ treatment or hypoxia and (B) pchMR- or pcDNA3-transfected HCT116 cells cultured with 10% FCS alone under normoxic and hypoxic culture conditions. In panel A, values of VEGFA mRNA expression for each sample were compared to those of unstimulated pchMR-transfected control cells, set as 1.
