<p>Sorted populations of reticulocytes and extruded nuclei were fractionated by 1D SDS-PAGE and subjected to Nano LC mass spectrometry. An abridged list containing key cytosolic and endocytic proteins of interest is shown. Total peptide column is the total number of peptides (and therefore an indication of a particular protein’s abundance) detected in the population, whilst the unique peptide column indicates the number of unique peptides detected. To assess differences between nuclei and reticulocyte populations the total peptide number should be used.</p
