<p>Two distinct linear regions were present in the EMD-DFA-derived double log plot, thereby enabling calculation of a short- and long-term scaling exponent, α. The double log plot derived from the conventional DFA, on the other hand, did not contain a clear cross-over point. Similar results were observed for all analyzed datasets.</p
