Reduced liver fibrosis in <i>CCL3^−/−</i> mice after CCl₄ challenge.

<p>Acute liver injury after CCl₄ challenge is associated with augmented hepatic expression of CCL3, while CCL3 after chronic CCl₄ treatment has a tendency toward higher expression (<b>A</b>). Sirius red staining after the CCl₄ treatment (x100 magnification) shows reduced liver fibrosis in <i>CCL3</i> deficient mice (<b>B</b>). Hydroxyproline contents in the liver (<b>C</b>) and serum level of ALT (<b>D</b>) were significantly decreased in <i>CCL3^−/−</i> mice.
