Replacement of cohesin subunit Rec8 by Scc1 rescues the nuclear division defect of <i>P_GPD1-dsn1-Δ110</i> cells.

<p>A) Immunofluorescence analysis of meiosis in <i>spo11Δ P_GPD1-DSN1 P_REC8-SCC1</i> and <i>spo11 Δ P_GPD1-dsn1-Δ110 P_REC8</i>-<i>SCC1</i> cells containing Pds1-myc18, and heterozygous <i>URA3</i>-GFP. The percentage of cells that have undergone at least one nuclear division (red squares), a second division (green triangles), that contain a short bipolar spindle (purple triangles) and that have separated sister <i>URA3</i> sequences (blue squares) were scored.
