<div><p>Distinct phylogenetic lineages of <i>Mycobacterium tuberculosis</i> (MTB) cause disease in patients of particular genetic ancestry, and elicit different patterns of cytokine and chemokine secretion when cultured with human macrophages <i>in vitro</i>.
