Deletion of the Pef1p-associated cyclins <i>pas1</i>⁺ or <i>psl1</i>⁺ does not extend <i>S. pombe</i> CLS.

<p>(A) Pef1p associates with the cyclin Psl1p. Cells expressing both Pef1p-3HA and FLAG-Psl1p (FLAG-Spbc20f10.10p) were lysed and immunoprecipitated with anti-FLAG antibody, followed by Western blotting with anti-FLAG and anti-HA antibodies. In the input lysate (100 µg), FLAG-Psl1p expression was too weak to be detected in the lysate. (B) Deletion of <i>pas1</i>^<i>+</i> or <i>psl1</i>^<i>+</i> does not extend <i>S. pombe</i> CLS. The <i>psl1∆</i> mutant had a shorter CLS than wild type cells (p= 0.0005) while the <i>pas1∆</i> mutant had a CLS indistinguishable from wild type cells (p>0.18).
