Angular gyrus responds to scene novelty.

<p>Increased activity was observed bilaterally in the angular gyrus when the Novel_scene and Repeat_scene conditions were contrasted (Novel_scene>Repeat_scene). The glass brain (<b>A</b>) along with Coronal and Axial sections (<b>B</b>) at the peak levels for this contrast are displayed (Right: <i>x,y,z</i> = 39, −85, 25; <i>t = </i>7.58; Left: <i>x,y,z</i> = −39, −85, 16; <i>t = </i>5.44). Threshold for these images is set at <i>p</i><0.001 (uncorrected for multiple comparisons). Activation in the angular gyrus is significant at <i>p</i><0.001 (uncorrected for multiple comparisons), cluster size >10 contiguous voxels and also survives SVC at a threshold <i>p</i><0.05 (corrected). Peak coordinates are reported in Montreal Neurological Institute (MNI) space.
