<p>Dual color fluorescence in situ hybridization with a centromere probe for chromosome 8 (CEP8, Spectrum Green), and region-specific probe for c-myc (Spectrum Orange), in representative hepatocellular carcinoma foci. In the first two images, HCC nuclei have multiple signals both for the c-myc gene (A) and chromosome 8 (B). This case has a polysomic status. In the other two images there are >10% of nuclei with multiple signals for c-myc (C) but two for chromosome 8 (D). This case is representative of amplification for c-myc.</p
