Pengendalian Sosial oleh Guru dalam Mengatasi Perilaku Menyimpang Siswa Membolos (Studi di SMA)

This research aimed to find out the forms and result of the social control by the teachers in addressing the deviant behavior of students truant (study in class X SMA Islamiyah Pontianak). The method used was descriptive. The technique of data collection techniques used were observation, interview and documentation study. The data collection tools were an observation guide, interview guidelines and documentation. The results showed the a forms of social control undertaken by teachers as an effort to prevent and cope the deviant behavior of the skipping the class done by the students. Two types of social control the first one was persuasive, that was done by giving an understanding, socialization, and guidance. Then the second one was coercive social control that was done the by warnings and punishments. At also found that the result of the social control implemented by the teacher has been running well based on the fact that the were no students who repeat that deviant behavior
