<p>The phenotype of the four-week-old seedlings of transgenic tobacco plants and controls (VC and WT) grown in pots were recorded when plants grown in the absence (control) or in the presence of 300 mM NaCl for 20 and 25 d as well as plants subjected to a 5 d recovery after a treatment with 300 mM NaCl for 25 d. The whole two-week-old seedlings of transgenic plants and control plants (VC and WT) were used to extract RNA to detect <i>TaCIPK29</i> expression by RT-PCR with <i>NtActin</i> as an internal control. Three biological experiments were carried out with similar results.</p
