Fibroblasts isolated from PD patients display defective phagocytosis.

<p>(<b>A</b>) Fibroblast from 10 independent patients with sporadic PD, 10 age-matched normal donors, or an individual carrying the SNCA triplication were fed 1 μ beads and a phagocytosis index determined (n = 3+/− s.e.m. *p≤0.001 when the phagocytic index between the SNCA triplicant and sporadic PD patients fibroblasts were compared with the phagocytic index for control patient fibroblasts).
