<p>Progeny from (A) <i>dGyk</i>-IR-let and (B) <i>dGK</i>-IR-let flies result in larvae with melanotic masses and lethality at the larval or pupal stage of development for both <i>c564</i>-GAL4 or <i>24B</i>-GAL4 drivers. (C) <i>c564</i>-GAL4; <i>dGyk</i>-IR-let escaper flies had curled/crumpled wings with dark pigmented areas. Note: For <i>c564</i>-GAL4; <i>dGyk</i>-IR-let progeny, the majority die before eclosion (80%). For <i>c564</i>-GAL4; <i>dGK</i>-IR-let offspring, 100% lethality was observed before eclosion.</p
