Hipertensao secundaria: Renovascular: Diagnostico e tratamento

The present article revises the diagnosis and treatment of renovascular disease that might cause hypertension. There are no evidences in order to identify which patients will benefit with treatment and what is the best approach for patients with renovascular disease. The association of clinical signs and screening tests allow increased likelihood of diagnosis. However, the diagnosis of renovascular hypertension is confirmed after the intervention. The interventional treatment of renal artery stenosis intends to provide better blood pressure control and the preservation of renal function and the risk factors have to be aggressively treated after the intervention. The clinical outcomes of patients with renal artery stenosis treated with interventional techniques are unknown. Future studies addressing this question will clarify the best treatment for patients with renal artery stenosis
