Leptin activity in OBRb Baf3 cells.

<p>Proliferation of OBRb Baf3 cells is dependent on leptin or mouse IL3. Baf3 cells were grown in medium supplemented with different concentrations of leptin or positive control IL3 (no leptin was added to the IL3 control) for 48 hours. After four days proliferation was measured by overnight radioactive tritium labeled thymidine incorporation. Graph shows the tritium counts per minute, data are expressed as mean ± SEM, n = 4. Statistics done using one-way ANOVA with Bonferroni posttest comparing leptin stimulated to control (0 ng/ml leptin), *P = <0.05, **P = <0.01, ***P = <0.001.
