The NH<sub>2</sub> + NO<sub>2</sub> reaction has been studied experimentally and theoretically. On the basis of laser photolysis/LIF experiments, the total rate constant was determined over the temperature range 295–625 K as <i>k</i><sub>1,exp</sub>(<i>T</i>) = 9.5 × 10<sup>–7</sup>(<i>T</i>/K)<sup>−2.05</sup> exp(−404 K/<i>T</i>) cm<sup>3</sup> molecule<sup>–1</sup> s<sup>–1</sup>. This value is in the upper range of data reported for this temperature range.
