<p>Predicted NDVI values were derived using knowledge of coverage type reflectance spectra and camera spectral response functions (see <a href="http://www.plosone.org/article/info:doi/10.1371/journal.pone.0073550#pone-0073550-g003" target="_blank">Figure 3</a>). Measured NDVI values correspond to manually extracted image patches taken from the reconstructed NDVI mosaic maps (error bars show the standard deviation from multiple sample points).</p
