:Intravenous therapy is one of the nursing actions done by inserting fluid , electrolytes , intravenous medications and parenteral nutrition into the body through intravenous.One of nosocomial infections arising as a result of that infusion phlebitis .phlebitis is inflammation of the walls of the veins / vein .Purpose This study aims to determine the relationship Installation Infusion duration ( Intravenous ) In Patients With Phlebitis incident in Irina F. BLU . Hospital .Prof . Dr. . R. D. Kandou Manado .The design of this study using correlational analytic methods to approach crosss sectional study ( Study Cut latitude ).Sampling in this study using purposive sampling ( non- probability sampling ) , obtained a total sample of 143 people 58 people who were treated monthly . Data analysis was performed using chi - square ( X2 ) , at the 95 % significance level ( α 0.05 ) confidence level indicates the value of p = 0.000 , this value is smaller than α = 0.05 so that it can be stated that there is a relationship duration of infusion ( intravenous ) with the incidence of phlebitis in patients at IRINA F BLU .
