The bottom and top of the boxes represent the 25th and 75th percentile respectively, whereas the box represents the interquartile range. The whiskers extend to the most extreme data point which is no more than 1.5 times the interquartile range from the box. The single point at the top of each boxplot represents the maximum number of breakpoints within each group A and B respectively.
