We use these data to complete an analysis of the influence of surrounding lands on conservation effectiveness of protected areas. The analysis is published as: Leroux & Kerr. 2013. Land development in and around protected areas at the wilderness frontier. Conservation Biology 27:166-176. doi: 10.1111/j.1523-1739.2012.01953.x</p
