Abstract

<p>A) NADPH oxidation measured in the presence of 200 µM NADPH, 4 U mL−1 <i>E. coli</i> TrxR, 10 µM <i>E. coli</i> Trx and 100 µM H2O2, following the addition of 2 µM <i>Gi</i>Prx1a. B) Turnover number (TN) measured in the presence of 10 µM <i>E. coli</i> Trx at increasing concentrations of <i>E. coli</i> TrxR (mean ±1 SEM, n≥4 for <i>Gi</i>Prx1a and n≥3 for delta<i>Gi</i>Prx1b). C) Activity of <i>Gi</i>Prx1a measured in the presence of 12 or 24 U mL−1 <i>E. coli</i> TrxR at increasing concentrations of <i>E. coli</i> Trx (mean ±1 SEM, n = 4).</p
