<p>mRNA copy number of canonical (sst1–5) and truncated (sst5TMD4) somatostatin receptors was measured by qrtRT-PCR in a battery of well-differentiated thyroid cancers (WDTC) and poorly-differentiated thyroid cancers (PDTC). Absolute mRNA level values were adjusted by a normalization factor (NF) obtained as the geometric means of the copy numbers for GAPDH and β-actin. Values represent average ± SEM (n = 19–20 patients). Asterisks (***, p<0.001) indicate values that significantly differ from WDTC.</p
