Activity of NADPH-producing enzymes in HCAEC lysates incubated with MGO.

<p>HCAEC lysates (1 mg protein/mL) were incubated for 3 h with 0–5 mM MGO. Activity was determined with the substrates: (A) G6P; (B) dG6P; (C) F6P; (D) isocitrate, or; (E) malate. Data are means+SEM of ≥3 experiments, each performed in triplicate. *Significant change in activity (<i>P</i><0.05) compared to 0 mM control activity (one-way ANOVA with Tukey’s post-test).
