Normal nucleus, uniformly chromatin, and normal mitochondria (white asterisks) are shown in the 4- and 10-month-old NS group and the 4-month-old D-Gal group, irregular nucleus, condensed chromatin, and swollen and vacuolated mitochondria (black asterisks) were found in the 18-month-old NS group, 10- and 18-month-old D-Gal group.
