Hematoxylin and eosin (H&E) staining for histological analysis of atherosclerotic lesions.

<p>Salusin-α or salusin-β was continuously infused into apoE-/- mice for 8 weeks via osmotic mini-pumps. Frozen sections from the aortic root were stained with H&E. Representative photomicrographs were shown (magnification×100). Con: the C57BL/6 control mice; ApoE-/-: the vehicle-treated apoE-/- mice; Sal-α: the salusin-α-treated apoE-/- mice; Sal-β: the salusin-β-treated apoE-/- mice.
