Some covariates (e.g. certain hospital fixed effects) with very few observation frequencies that predicted LBW perfectly were automatically dropped with their observations from the logistic regression model to improve model convergence and fit, resulting in a slightly smaller sample size for the logistic regression than the OLS in all countries except Chile.</p
