Correspondence of HPV <i>E6/E7</i> RNA staining patterns with HPV infective biology.

<p><b>A.</b> HPV infection of basal cells occurring via micro-abrasions to the cervical epithelium may give rise to latent and subsequently productive (permissive) infections.
