Transforming growth factor β1 (TGF-β1), basic fibroblast growth factor (bFGF), forkhead box H1 (Foxh1), p-Smad3 and c-Myc protein expression in sham-operated rats (Sham) and hypertension-induced left ventricular hypertrophy (H-LVH) rats treated with 5% glucose injection (GS) or tanshinone IIA (Tan) was observed (N = 8 per group).
