Specifically, the study has been submitted as a technical research article to the 8th ACM / IEEE International Symposium on Empirical Software Engineering and Measurement (ESEM), 2014. The title of the article is: "The Role of Mentoring and Project Characteristics for Onboarding in Open Source Software Projects".</p> <p>The study was conducted by the Software Systems Engineering Research Group of the Department of Computer Science of the University of Helsinki in Finland. Most of the study took place on top of the Software Factory of the University of Helsinki.</p
