Anti-VEGF aptamers antagonize angiogenesis.

<p>Antagonistic potency of anti-VEGF aptamers was measured by a capillary tube formation assay using HUVECs embedded in Matrigel. (A) Shown are the representative images of HUVECs forming capillary tubes after HUVECs were cultured in the presence of anti-VEGF aptamers, bevacizumab, and various controls, all used at same concentrations (16.6 μM).
