Knockdown of SKAP in HeLa cells inhibits UV-induced apoptosis.

<p>(A) The knockdown efficiency of siRNAs targeting SKAP was verified by immunoblot analysis. (B) HeLa cells were transfected with siRNA-NC or siRNA-SKAP #1 and treated with TNFα (20 ng/ml), TRAIL (50 ng/ml), Staurosporine (STS, 0.2 μM) or 40 J/m² UV exposure. FACS analysis (PI incorporation) was used to analyze apoptosis as described in <a href="http://www.plosone.org/article/info:doi/10.1371/journal.pone.0092712#pone-0092712-g002" target="_blank">Figure 2(A)</a>. (C) HeLa cells were transfected with siRNA-NC or siRNA-SKAP #1 and exposed to 40 J/m² UV irradiation.
