<p>Different transcriptional fusions to <i>lacZ</i> were constructed to evaluate <i>ldtR<sub>Las</sub></i> and <i>ldtP<sub>Las</sub></i> promoter activity in presence or absence of the transcriptional regulator, LdtR<sub>Las</sub>. β-galactosidase activity was determined at mid-exponential phase and expressed as arbitrary units (AU).</p
