Effects of oleic acid on cell survival in various human cancer cell lines.

<p>Human gastric cancer cell lines (A) and breast cancer cell lines (B) were starved for 12 hours and then incubated with 0.5% BSA as the control or 400 µM BSA-bound oleic acid for the indicated time period (hours). The cell viability was determined by an MTT assay and expressed as a percentage of the control cells. The values are the mean ± SD, n = 3; **p<0.01 vs. BSA at the indicated time points.
